Z's Note: Many things are overlooked when it comes to what you can & can't grill. Romaine lettuce is not only flavorful, it holds up to grilling well! Try it in other dishes, maybe in a grilled chicken Caesar? Let your imagination be your guide! -Z-

Chicken Broth Taste Test - America's Test Kitchen
Chicken Broth Taste Test - America's Test Kitchen: If you're like me and the majority of home cooks, making classic stocks just isn't feasible on a regular basis. When we look to pick up a boxed, canned, or concentrated replacement at our favorite supermarket or specialty store the choices can be quite overwhelming. I found this experiment very educational for everyone from the simple home cook to the classically trained chef.

Five Rules For a Perfect Steak-(VIDEO)
Good instructional video as "Pan Roasting" is a simple restaurant trick you can use for any meat. NOTE: When you pull your meat off the heat, it will climb by 1 temperature as it rests because it continues cooking (If you pull it off at medium-rare it will be at medium after resting). Using foil (as this video instructs) will cause your meat to cook even longer which I would only recommend if you want your meat medium-well or well done. -Z-
